In-line pumps for freeze-drying in the pharmaceutical industry

11 magnetically coupled in-line pumps shortly before delivery to a Swiss pharmaceutical company.

The 11 pumps are used in freeze dryers to efficiently dry valuable pharmaceutical products at low temperatures. The SZMK in-line pumps handle a heat transfer oil at -50°C - safely, efficiently and sustainably. The customer replaces other centrifugal pumps with these pumps as part of its maintenance work and thus continues to rely on the proven CP pump technology.

The sealless SZMK magnetic drive pumps are ideally suited to the high demands of the chemical and numerous other industries. With these highly developed and exceptionally energy-efficient pumps, liquid media of the most diverse types can be conveyed reliably and absolutely safely. Thanks to its special design, the SZMK does not require a plain bearing bracket. The one-piece, centrally arranged impeller bearing is optimally flushed and cooled with the pumped liquid, thus the pumps achieve excellent running characteristics. The impeller of the pumps rotates stably around a stationary axis according to the gyroscopic principle and is optimally balanced hydraulically. Only low bearing forces act, which increases the operational reliability of the pumps.

The pump casing parts that come into contact with the medium are made of rolled blanks, rod. This ensures that the material is pore-free and leak-proof. Thanks to the use of rolled blanks, a very wide range of materials is also available. The pump material can be optimally adapted to the corresponding pumping task and especially to the medium to be pumped.

The SZMK pumps are compact in design. They also consist of a small number of robust individual parts. The low number of components facilitates assembly and reduces the costs for spare parts, maintenance and servicing to a minimum. Thanks to the vertical in-line design, the pumps require less space than conventionally installed pumps.
