Hexion is one of the leading specialty chemicals companies. With 5,000 employees at more than 60 sites worldwide, the Group supplies around 20,000 customers. The Duisburg plant manufactures a wide range of products from epoxy and phenolic resins that are used in many areas of everyday life.
Epoxy resins are used as adhesives and fiber-reinforced components in the automotive and aerospace industries. In addition, phenolic resins are used, for example, in glued wood beams, particleboard and plywood, as mineral wool, foam and decorative laminates.
